With having the single CAT in the 182 is there Before CAT and After CAT lambda probes.

I changed one around 8months ago but i cant recall which one it was and i done my coolant temp sensor (CTS) on tues night. I then had my car at renault on the clip and there is still a hard fault with bank one sensor one lambda probe which i think is before CAT.

Im going to buy 2 new renault ones (if there is 2) and replace both them and hope that this will solve my problem.

Im just looking for someone to confirm that there is deff 2 of them.

Yeah deffo 2. The one before the cat is the one that does stuff with fueling or whatever it does and the other just keeps lights off so I've been told.

I would say that Bank 1, Sensor 1 would be before CAT but i will buy the 2 of them and change them both so that should help sort it. Saying that even tho there was a Hard Fault the light on the dash has stayed off which i find strange

Why buy two ? I'm not being funny mate but you must have more money than sense . Fred's just told ya what to do , swap em round and see if that works . Like edde said , the second sensor just tells you if the CAT is working , it won't affect the cars performance but it will throw up your dashboard light .

What Fred and Billy said. Swap them round first! Then you'll only have to buy one new one if that is indeed the problem.
If you do only get one new one. Put it before the cat though, and put the old working one back after the cat.

Priced up a Lambda probe from work.

Genuine Bosch one for my car is £21.89+VAT so bought 2 of them.
Going to throw them on teh car when i get time

I was thinking of changing mine to a fresh one in the summer, to see if it makes much of a difference, belts and servicing first, and if i still think my mpg could improve a bit i will change it.

As i say i bought the 2 of mine from work at a total of £43.78+VAT for genuine bosch ones which i think is a decent deal.
Going to buy some other odds and sodds from work but hoping that with getting these 2 it will help MPG aswell as turn the ECU light off.

I have just done the coolant temp sensor so thats ticked off the list
