no i wasnt i first thought it was 926 cos thats what halfords said then i asked leigh and got put right so :p
 


Sounds about right about the willy 1&2 geing sports blue !! 449 PAINT CODE !!

Willy 3 is 432 paint code !!

432 IS MONACO BLUE !! IT ALWAYS HAS BEEN AND ALL THE TIME THAT ITS WAS AVAILIBLE IT WAS CALLED MONACO BLUE. IT WAS USED ON CLIO, MEGANE, LAGUNA, SAFFRANE AND ESPACE. THE ONLY CAR THAT ITS STILL AVAILIBLE ON NOW IS THE 172. TRUST ME I KNOW THESE THINGS !! GET A 172 BROCHURE AND CHECK IT IF YA DONT BELIVE ME !!

THE UK DIDNT HAVE METHYL BLUE !! IT IS THE SAME COLOUR JUST A DIFFERENT NAME !! LIKE WISE WITH THE 926 CODE !!
 


THE REALLY LIGHT GREEN MIGHT BE VERTIGO GREEN PAINT CODE 901 OR IF YOUR TALKING ABOUT THE COLOUR ON THE BILLABONG THEN ITS CITRUS GREEN WHICH IS D99 ME THINKS.

Leigh/BenR, when my bodyshop ordered the paint for my car for doing my spoiler, the mixers told them that they was 4 different Renault Pearl Blacks, as follows....


Pearl Black Standard
Pearl Black + 5% Silver
Pearl Black + 5% Brown/Bronze
Pearl Black + 5% Blue
now, mine was done with the 5% Brown/Bronze one, as thats what we agreed my car was after looking at my cars paintwork for ages.....

now when i had my crash damage repaired, the Renault bodyshop said there was only 1 Pearl Black......

now my car, and my mate Pauls car (16v), seem to have more brown/bronze content than a few other Pearl Black Clios, Mehdis (clean16v) doesnt seem to be the same shade as mine, his seems to have more silver content/standard colour....

you got any ideas on this ?
 


there is 1 pearl black.

but during the yrs of production, getting each batch exactly the same is hard........so that might account for some changes.
 


Ben that is spot on mate !!

The same goes for the platinum 632 colour !! Thats also a pig to match correctly !!

You can stick cars of the same colour next to each other and spot slight differences in the colour !!
 


When we mix up paints the paint codes sometimes have a letter after them to indicate a slightly different shade. It is quite common for a colour to have two or more shades.

no, infact, im going to hunt you down and take away your paint code sample books and run away giggling..........

Ben i dont have a paint code sample book !!! :cool:

I have them stored in my wee head !!

Years of repeating them to admin staff and making the lazy oiks, find me cars in the correct colours !!

Cool, im a sales coordinator..........but youll rarely find me in teh showroom, its far far too dull!
