yes, 2 coats will do.

Any primer will do as the bullets aren't flexible.
You'll need to fully key the surface before using the primer too...

A few threads on this, Best to have a search.

Best is, Light rub down to key the plastic, Primer, Sand smooth, base colour, second coat. Paint letters with small paint brush.. take your time and paint.

Then laquer.

gently rub the surface with some wet n dry so the primer sticks. Make sure you clean it thoroughly after keying the surface
