Painting question

Im painting my door handles to match the body work.

Ive primered and painted.. All well so far.

But i want to know, Can i wet sand flat the paint and lacquer over it after?

What i mean is will the laquer cover up the dullness of the wet sanded flat paint? and give it the glossy look again or just look like lacquer over sanded paint?

thanks

if you wet sand the paint you should dust another couple of basecoat on top before laquering.

Wet sand with a really fine grade- P1200 for example

you can sand it and laquer it with fine paper, but if the basecoat is ok anyway, then dont bother, just laquer straight over it

Ok, cheers people.

Yeah the base coat of paint is ok, but ive got a bit of overspray and just wanted to flaten it. I will use 3000.

Thanks.
