Parametric EQ help

Ok, my Alpine 9853 head unit has a customisable Parametric EQ. This can be done via the PC and uploaded to the head unit, however i dont have a clue what a Parametric EQ does.

this is what the customisable panel looks like, so can anyone tell me how changing the values will change the sounds?

you got winamp? look at the eq on that and think more simplified

if you dont know what you are doing id advise looking up how to first

basicly it helps to adjust certain frequencies if they are too loud/quiet

nah it aint got a graphic eq i dont think.

basically you adjust it to what music you listen to or what just sounds best.

mine is set up as

which ups the bass a little and ups the high pitch sounds a little

cool, ive found a similar thing in media player...

so just play around with that, and copy the pattern across to Alpines software yeah?

basically yea, play with things, see what they sound like, i wouldnt go crazy and throw everythin up full, just do bits at a time see what sounds best for you

and the width is how far either side of centre freq is adjusted
