Last week I went to Paris on holiday, it was my first time in Paris and I have to say it was utterly fantastic. It lived up to all the hype I’ve heard about the place. Great pictures

Really wanna take the mrs to Paris for a long weekend as she always goes on about it but was told it costs a fortune. How much would one be looking at for travel & to stay somewhere relatively nice + expenses?

I agree Gally. Like anywhere (within reason) you can make it as expensive or cheap as you want/afford. Just need to research a bit, which is what puts a lot of people off (too lazy/just want to go to travel agents and hand over money)

I'll go next year, need to save a bit after 3 big holidays in the last 10 months!

My friend asd my uncle both got a taxi from CDG to their hotel at a 50 euros cost one way. Our entire travel card for zone 5 (all) cost us 100 Euros for 5 days! No wonder it was expensive you tools!

Food prices are similar to London if not higher. Accomodation is the same.

We stayed in a cool apartment.

Out of curiosity, the Eiffel Tower photo 9up from the bottom at night. Was that done handheld with a high ISO?

It was ISO 800, 1/25 and F2.8. It was handheld per say, but the tripod foot of the lens was resting on the top of the glass pane, but that didn't stop upwards and downwards tilting with it just being a piece of glass, so I took quite a few frames being as still as I could.

Sorry, I was thinking about the wrong picture. That one was hand held, yes. Taken at F1.8, 1/80th and ISO 1000 riz

Ah right haha. I'm guessing you'd have to use a tripod most of the time then.

Another interesting thing is that the one of the cars going along the riverside is a 1/8th pan from the top of the Eiffel Tower, which was fairly ambitious but I pulled it off in the end.
