PAS temperamental

my girlfriends pas is temperamental and just wondered if anybody had any ideas what it is?

it is the electric power steering on an '04 mk2 ph2 1.2 dynamique.

it was working fine, then it cut out.

about an hour after leaving it, it was back up and running and then about 2 hours later it went again.

im guessing its something with the electrics beings its the electric pump? maybe alternator or battery?

its an electric motor, no hydraulics anywhere on the system

possibly the sensor on the rack, hard to say without having a fiddle

Intermittent, hmm I'd take it in somewhere if I were you...
