Passanger speaker goes off when windows down

When i put the passanger side window down on my car the passanger side door speaker goes off. This doesnt happen on the drivers side so my question is why does it do this? Its obviously a design feature but for what purpose?

Sounds like a wire is shorting etc have it checked most likly the looms getting caught at some point or a bad eath.

best bed would be to take the door card off, and check the routing of the wiring, to make sure the window isn't rubbing it, shorting it, etc

hmm i didnt think it was a fault. Think i may just give it to arnold clarke as its still under warranty but this is winding me up 2nd niggly fault in the 4 months i've had it.

Well i thought maybe it was a feature but now i'm starting to think the electrics may be fcuked head unit doesnt always turn off when you turn off the engine, riad somtimes unlocks its self with steering lock... french crap

If it's still under warranty let them have a look at it.

The glass will be pulling on the speaker wires when it comes down. No biggy, chuck it into a stealers and let them sort it if its under warrenty.
