Passenger Side Mirror

My electric mirror got clipped last night, managed to put it back, and was good as new.

Got back in the car, and the temp dial was reading -30C.

Is the sensor in the wing mirror?

Have I knackered it or is it something simple?

Yeah the temp sensor bit is that little rubber bit that sticks out on the underside of the passenger side wing mirror, there is a bit more of the unit inside the wingmirror afaik. A new sensor itself from Renault is £70, so Id have a fiddle with the wires or inside the mirror itself!!! Thats all I can tell you Im afraid!

Ok, had a little fiddle but no luck.

Do you think Ive damaged it, or just knocked it loose?

How hard is it to take the wing mirror off? Im bit sceptical about doing it cos I dont think I could get it back together.

piece of piss !! To take off and refit !! My pet mongoose could do it !!

Its proberly just a loose conection in the mirror head !! The temp sensors are very tough generally !!

Get that mirror off and take a proper look ! You will also learn something as well !! Good luck.
