passenger window stuck down?

Hi my passenger window won't go up, neither switch works, you can hear the motor trying to work when you press to go down but nothing when you want it up, I had the door card off in the hope of somehow closing it until I can get somebody to look at it for me but had no luck, is there a way of releasing the window it won't budge?

sounds like the cable has broken. if u pull the clip from off the mechanism to glass and pop it out then you can slide the window closed.
