PBV fitting

Hello

Im from Denmark, Im about to make my clio with 300 bhp (about 270 at the wheel), but I need to fit a power boot valve and I really dont understand the guide there was follow, do any one have picture or can draw it for my clio 1.8 16v 92.

Im am sure about the connections, It is where to fit the remote regulator.

just how are u expecting 300bhp from a 1.8 engine? hyave u put a turbo on it etc?

Yes - i can give a quick explanation here and ill send you a picture of it on my car later today/tomorrow m8. The picture will make my rather vague discription a bit easier to understand but its better than the PBV instructions either way! Note: its best to get some extra fuel hosing as there isnt enough supplied with the PBV.

OK, basically you want to bolt the PBV somewhere close to the fuel rail first - what i did was bend one end of the bracket into an L-shape and bolt the bracket onto the engine between the cylinder head and the thermostat housing (the bit that the radiator cooling pipe comes into). Then i bolted the PBV onto the other end of the bracket - itll be pointing diagonally upwards towards the front of the car at this point.

Once thats done you want to remove the existing regulator from the end of the fuel rail (itll either be held on with two bolts or a clip) - replace this with the small adapter in your picture. Note - this may a bit hard to remove as the fuel rail will still be under a vacume - you may even get some petrol spillage when you eventually get it out but this will stop quickly. At this point you can now connect the red hose from the top of the PBV to the Inlet manifold.

The next stage is to sort out the fuel pipes. If you goto the end of the fuel rail (opposite side to the battery) you see that there is two pipes - one going in and one coming out. You want to get the return-to-tank pipe, cut it and then seal the end that is leaving the fuel rail. This pipe will be easy to spot because it leaves the fuel rail closer to the battery than the in-pipe. Once that is done, connect some fuel hose between the open end of the cut pipe and the PBV (the bottom connector i think), Then connect another fuel hose between the side of the PBV and the new adapter at the end of the fuel rail.

It now just needs adjusted but basically job done! As i said earlier, if youre a bit unclear wait until i send you my picture....

PBV to Inlet Manifold ? I shall use the old vacuum pipe (the black pipe that was connected to the old regulator)
