PC Diagnostic software

Does anyone know of any decent proven diagnostic software for PCs?

Need something that will stress test machines before resale that we refurbish here in work.

Preferably something we can run through Windows if such a thing exists?

Preferably something that is going to stress machines once they have been imaged and pickup on any possible errors.

Prime95 will try and break your PC. Leave it running for 12+ hours, and if the PC hasn't melted or exploded, it never will :)

This stresses the hardware though, it won't necessarily pickup on any software/driver issues that the machine might have.

CPU - yup prime95 is great for cpu stressing.

graphics card stressing, perhaps something like futuremark or maybe even atitool (http://www.techpowerup.com/atitool/) which will let you run a stress within it (obviously don't overclock anything unless you want to).

memory - memtest

Yeah, although Prime95 does use memory IIRC. I think it depends a lot on which tests you use :)

It stresses everything except the graphics, basically.

Ill give Prime95 a blast on some known broken machines and see what it can detect to see if its the tool for the job. Sick of fixing up machines, selling them and when the customer takes delivery they suddenly stop working.

IBM T series and Dell C series laptops seem to be the main culprits for this.

Not so much worried about software problems etc as most machines are imaged from master images and 20mins reimaging something fixes any software issues.
