PC geeks please help!!

I've just spent 3 weeks filming a BMX video and the past 2 days editing the footage on Windows Movie Maker, only for it to crash/corrupt the second I go to upload it! I'm fuming as you can imagine!

Is there anything I can do, or am I up sh*t creek??
