PC IS DOWN! MAYDAY MAYDAY WE'RE GOING DOWN!

Hi Everyone! How are you all today?

Can anyone tell me why my f**king PC is doing this s**t -

I was obviously barking up the wrong tree when trying to clean out the PC and now everytime I open inters**t explorer this box comes up.

Now the trick is, is to press cancel loads of times then it loads up fine. If you dont, it will go on to this other box, almost like a search box and it trys to find settings for something? I would show you that box, but i'm downloading itunes and if this search box comes up every internet box closes down! so f**king frustrating...

Anyone know what this is?

rename the file so the swear filter does kick in meaning we can't see the pic.

Look for that in add/remove programs. Failing that, close all IE windows ang open Internet settings from control panel. Last tab on the right (advanced, iirc) and at the bottom there's a button to tell interfuck explorer to reset to default settings.

What version of IE? 8? Tools-> manage Add-ons, anything listed in there like the above dialog. If so disable.

If it's a genuine installer progress box then there's something fecked in the registry to do with that installer, easily fixed though If it's this it means that you've done something so the PC thinks the software should be installed/isn't installed correctly and it's trying to fire up the installer to fix it.

Telling IE to revert to default could do the trick as it'll not try to load up the plugin, software, whatever it is.

Or if it's an ie window posing as an installer, or something else, then it's malware.

Download either malware bytes anti malware or spybot S+D and run scans of your machine first to see what they pickup.
