I currently have 3x6gb of this ram on this motherboard.

It's proving difficult to find another set of 3x2gb so I was wondering what other options I have.
Would I be able to fit more ram of a different make alongside my existing ram or would I be better to throw this out and get 3x4gb?

Ideally I'd like to keep the ram I have and add some more alongside but I'm unsure what will be compatible.

You could probably just get 2 sets of 2x2gb ram and keep the 4th ram stick as a spare, technically triple channel uses the same ram as dual channel but its just sold in kits of 3x or 6x.

if it were me i'd just get 3 sets of 2x4gb which will give you your full 24gb ram

More often than not its a case of 'because i can' ;)

I find 16gb more than enough but if i could afford it i'll go all out and up it to 32gb thats for sure :)
