i thought about this as well matey, i thought it would be nice to have a change and see what t was like. i thought of pilots? are they any good as well?

IMO Proxes are decent in the dry and slidey in the wet. When my Pilots go, Ill get getting Eagle F1s as they seem to get a decent write up here.

yoko 539s grip like mad for me?
A539 are bottom of the pile in term of performance (particularly in the wet), people buy them cause there cheap.

I really like yoko 539s.

I upgraded to PE2s after hearing many good comments on here but they didnt impress me atall.

thats the only reason im tempted to keep them..

but another part of me says go for a more sticky tyre..

can get the parada spec2s in V rating for 79 quid each and theyre nearly like slicks.. but good in the wet.

plus they look awesome:

youre the biggest homo there is Mr. Cutler!!!!

Have been nothing but impressed with the PE2s on my 182, very sticky in the dry, plenty of grip in the wet and highly durable to pot!

Im only just getting round to changing my fronts, Ive done 16,500 miles on them and will be replacing them with two more PE2s. I should add that I havent hung around and nor have they been all motorway miles. As a comparison I got 15,000 miles out of my Goodyear F1 GSD-2s on my 206 GTi, good tyres but having to deal with significantly less power.

You pays ya money you take your choice, and Ill be taking the Michelins.

Cheers

Just a pity Michelin dont do the PS2 in this size as they are the daddies. Had them on my Audi and also on the EVO and they were top draw..!

has anyone here actually tried anything other than PE2s on their 182 with cup suspension? to compare the pe2s with?

On the 172 cup in 205/45 tried

PE2 - Best

F1 GSD 3 - vgood in wet, not as good in dry.

Conti sportcontacts - OK

A539 - Worst
