Why is it that say a slower car ie 1.2 Corsa/Saxo will be able to stay closer to a more powerfull performance car say A 172/CTR in 2 gear than in 3 or 4 ie when i had my 172 and gave it max in 2 say against a 1.2/1.4/1.6 it never pulled away as much as i thought with it being a more powerfull car but in 3/4 gear its so much more noticable ???

to be fair ive never had that happen to me, once i mash my right foot in lower gears the slower car goes bye bye very quickly!

torque is the turning force that the engine can apply to the wheels, bhp is the power that the engine produces,

torque turns wheels, bhp sells cars :p
