Petrol Light on the Clio 2001 - new sort

just woundering does the new type clio 1.2 , have a resevre tank and how much is left when the light comes on

well i was told about 50..but i ran out once on 23

The tank is 50 litres and on mine there is about 7 litres left when the low fuel warning light comes on which is about 40 miles worth on mine. If you have the trip computer you can find out how many litres you have in the tank by holding in the trip button (end of wiper stalk) and turning on the ignition. This activates the dash test and if you press the trip button again the display will show how many litres of fuel are in the tank.

They say 50... but I never let my needle go into the red as a rule. Plus it f**ks the catalytic convertor if you run completely dry.

alright if you have the money for petrol...sadly life as a student means my car is very rarely out of the "red" zone

I was told by the renault dealer i bought my car from it had a 80 mile range problem was that when i picked the car up it only had enough fuel for about 40 miles and i ended up filling up at around 30 miles as the light came on near enough as i pulled out of the garage.

anyway mate think urself lucky you dont have a larger engine i have a 1.4 and i seem to be only able to get approx 350 miles from a tank and thats not thrashing it all the time eaither.

You can get 350 miles from one tank - Im lucky if I can get 300 miles out of mine. Even driving it very gently the best I can get is 38mpg.

you can get 300 i filled up my 1.6 the other day drove 180 mile 4 up and my fuel light came on

new shape clio doesnt have a reserve tank and when your fuel light comes on you have approx 1 galleon left.i get well over 300 miles to a full tank in my cup.

you have approx 45 miles left in your tank once the fuel light comes on, dependant upon driving style, its not one gallon, its a little more

When the light comes on in my car the little trip computer doesnt read anything when i only have 50 miles left in the tank so then ive no idea how much ive got left. when i fill up i think ive got bout 450 miles to go b4 i fill up again

its a game i play, 50 litre tank, so when i fill up can i see that i have put in something like 48.66litres (personal best) i have done well, on the light, trip computer resets miles til fill on 42 miles to go, but a reset and more miles . i say in town driving get about 40miles, usually its about 44itres, so i could do so much better,.

i did say APPROX 1 galleon which is about 45 miles anyway
