I just replaced the standard element myself. Would like to have the noise again, but the novelty isn't worth the price tag imo.

lol

jlo i would get a hillpower elbow (apparantly the samcos are a funny fit on the ph1's according to middo) get a decent panel filter and modify your airbox with bigger airfeeds :) the design is pretty much the same as the maxogen so no real need to change the box

I've just bought a viper I/K. Complete Waste of money tbh.

If i get time, i'm going to do what andy says, modify the air feeds, decent panel filter, and a funky coloured elbow. I had a Hillpower one on my last ph-1 172 and the fit was fine.

Proof? It's the same because they're both round?

Cos someone on here said so, therefore it must be true.

There is no better comercially available airbox. But they aint cheap.

LOL! i was thinking more of a silicon jobbie! :)

There is a guy whopd did as i've mentioned above, and took numerous pics, cant remember his name tho. He fitted larger 100mm inlets, panel filter, then relocated the inlests to directly under the headlight where the vents are.

i meant that the airbox is very simialr in design and shape! imo the maxogen is the best and thats why i have a maxogen but i very much doubt that jlo wants to fork out 300 odd quid for one?!

i would always recommend the maxogen if money is no object but if it is then a ph1 airbox is the next best thing imo (over the likes of vipers, k&n's etc), in terms of airbox design it has a simialar shaope to the maxogen and has a similar amount of filter space inside, the air is drawn from the same area so if you improve the size of the air feeds and put a decent panel filter in then you are going to get good gains over standard wihtout forking out a shed load of cash

jlo the hillpower elbow is circa 50 quid from nick, if you ring him (number on website) you can tell him what colour you want and you can request an extra long elbow so you can cut the excess to fit perfect, he knocks a bit off for cs users as well :)

Been told in the past to stick with standard, the ph1 airbox is what they use for the cup racers.
