ph1 dash into a ph2?

looking to get a ph1 dash, flock it and put it into my ph2 172.

what spec ph1 do i need to find the dash from?

Well it depends on what dash you want mate, how come your wanting to put a ph1 dash in? its not a straight swap

so i can remove the passenger airbag, and i want to have it flocked before it goes in too.

or is there a better option?

just take the airbag out of the dash and get it flocked it just unpops from underneath the top of the dash , seems like a big job to do just for a older looking dash !!!

Flock your own dash and just remove the airbag. I did ph2 into ph1 and all the switchs are different it is not worth the hassle

do you mean just the top part of the dash or the whole of the dash ???? seems strange why someone would want a old looking dash instead of a newer looking dash , would ruin the car if you put a ph1 dash in it

You have to change both parts.

Its ok on poverty spec ones but you'll have issues with the climate control etc

I ain't too fussed about how it looks exactly, obviously smart when flocked but apart from that not too bothered. More interested in the weight side of things.

If there is no difference in between the weights of the 2 dash's (or a major amount anyways) i'll just stick with what i've got and get rid of the other airbag.
