Ph1 front end on Ph2

Anyone ever seen or built a ph2 with a ph1 front end?

Why would you want to?

Besides you can pick up a Ph1 172 for peanuts anyway.

Would require a whole new front end can only see it as an option if you are repairing a Phase 2 and have a whole Phase 1 as a donor.

Yes, its called a phase 1.

lol, but I like my low mileage 182 with Cup suspension and nicer interior. I just think the ph1 172 front end is far nicer looking.

Wings
Bonnet
Bumper and grills
Headlights

I've got an entire spare Phase 1 front end that I was going to swap for a phase 2 front end with a local guy, but he never wants to commit to it. The parts required are pretty much detailed above.

The parts don't just bolt on when doing the conversion either IIRC.

Bolt holes for the tops of the wings don't all line up, headlight bracket holes don't line up.

A friend of mine has just done it.
