PH2 Janspeed Sport CAT

hi all, not sure if this the right section but i was just wondering if a janspeed sport cat from a PH2 172 fit a PH1 172?

No it'll be too long. Ph1 and Ph2 cats differ.

nope, bmh is correct they are different lengths. The only way it would fit is if u had an aftermarket exhaust WITH a movable sleeve.

Set for phase 2 in this pic, can be extended for phase 1 cats.

my exhaust is custom made tho from the cat back, its not the standard reno, so this should fit ok?

you need to go underneath the car and look at the design of the existing cat.

if your cat is a single box style, then yes it will fit. this is typically the later ph1's.

the early ph1's have a twin cat (two circular cats side by side) if you have that, then the janspeed won't fit and you will need a ph1-specific sports cat.

if you have the ph1 twin cats you will be able to fit the ph2 sports cat if you cut your exhaust and shorten it by about 1.5''

thanks for the info, this makes sense, i plan to change my back box as well as i dnt like the back box on it anyway so i should be able to make it fit. twin cats FTL!
