Phase II bump strips

Can you fit phase II bump strips straight onto a phase I valver? If so where is the best place to get them from and approx how much incl fitting kit (clips etc) ?

If not, how much are Phase I bump strips and can you buy the clips seperately? Thanks Paul

you can fit phase 2 bump strips on !! you need the actual strips and the clips as the clips are different too !!

you can either get these from a scrapyard or someone on here

if you want ive got a set of phase 1 strips and clips if u want em

Right, you will need approx 25 new plastic clips. These consist of 2 peices, part that attatchs to the car body work and part that clips to the actual bump strip. Its VERY easy to swap the clips, the parts on the strips slide in place and the bits on the car twist out/in.

When you buy them make sure 1) they give you enough, 2) they give you the red ones that go on the ends to make the fit tighter.

Worth wile mod the phase 2 ones look so much better, I managed to get mine second hand and they happened to be colour coded to my car!

Think I paid about £30 for them.

Worth wile looking out for the lights and boot strip as well by the way.

£30 thats a bargin! i lost one of my strips not long ago and couldnt find a breakers anywhere to supply me with the missing trim. Everyone keept telling me they go like hotcakes. Bought one of a bloke on the forum in the end for £6 - Reno wanted £27 new.

What are the red clips for? i just used 4 of the white ones when i done mine

Dunno when I bought the strips (thank you turboman) they had some red ones, and the old phase 1 strips had red clips. Only on the ends and the white clips wouldnt fit in the spaces.

Assume its to stop the strips sliding out of place, Im just gonna put some silicone sealent to hold mine in place when I can be bothered.

I gaggin for some new phase 2 sstrips and the clips that go with em but no f**ker has any!

Mitsi - PM "CASE" i think his name is? Thats who i bought mine from - hes breaking a williams i think. Clips are 50p each from reno! rip off but prob best buying them new.

He should have the door trim strips left if ya interested.

Buy new clips - older ones will be a little looser and you dun want your new strips falling off do you!
