Phone question 3G

Am I being totaly stupid here...

can you have a 3g compatible phone SE W850i for example but have a normal contract (ie not 3g)?!?!

so if say me and a someone else got this SE phone on a normal contract would we be able to talk using the video bit?

You need a 3g capable sim card. I'd have thought you could get a normal contract with a 3g sim and just pay for the video calls you make.

oh righto, not quite such a stupid question as I thought then...video call's cost more aswell then?

Usually, think they can be anything up to 50p per min unless u get some included minutes free with the contract.
