Phone upgrade

Its coming up to that time of year again. I dont wanna make the mistake i made last year and get a V3i, so thought id ask you lot whats worth getting.
I prefer Nokias to most phones as i know how to use them, but its not as if it HAS to be a nokia.
Looking at the N73, is it quite big? Cant find it in the shops only seen pics of it.
The K800i looks ok as well.
And the nokia 8800, depending how much they wanna try charge me for it.

Any help/advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers

K800i is a fanyastic phone. The camera is supurb and its easy to use. I used to be a hardcore nokia fan but the k800i has changed my mind.

I was all up for an N73 - but there seem to be problems. Some seem to suffer, others don't!!! Went to C'phone wherehouse the other week, and they were suggesting the Samsung D900 - quite liked the look of it to be honest. I also have a mate that has one and he likes it - but then on here i read a coupld of people that aren't keen on it.

Basically, i need a new phone, and haven't got a b***** clue what i'm going to get!!!

I was in the same predicament a couple of months back, in the end went for the n73 because of the features. great phone, it isn't massive but it isn't exactly small.

Yeh, the uk ones had a crap version of the symbian 3 on it. if you flash it and alter it to a european phone (warning: voids nokia warrenty) you can then use the nokia service update, updates the version from 2.8 to 3.06, fixes the problem with the bluetooth dropping signal and speeds up functions a bit.

is the k800's joystick like the k700 and k750, ie blocking up with dust and not working half the time? or is it better?

It's a joystick, but it seems fine to me?
Never not worked for me yet (touch wood!) (Had it since August and the phone gets some serious hammer)

k800 joystick physically cannot block with dust there's a rubber gasket like seal under the keypad the dust cant get into the mechanism. The software is the problem if there's any issues with the joystick. I have one and it needs a firmware update asafp, great phone though.

Ive never been a Nokia sheep.
