  Clio v6

Tell me to **** off for interfering, but I would take into consideration that you may need ULTRA LOW profile tyres or else your car will be sitting on stilts.

As usual with photoshopped pics, the original tyre is simply covered up by the bigger wheel.

I did similar to a *axo and wondered why I was ridin high even after I had it lowered etc. I was soooooo embarassed when I realised why, after spending all the cash to slam it. DOH !

True it does sit up higher in 205/40R17s and looks a bit daft from the back. 195/40R17s should solve all that it will sit 8mm lower

Just getting 17"s on 205/40 tyres. Which pic do you think is more representative of what itll actually look like? I thought the wheels on the first one looked the same size as the existing 16"s.

dash this is all good feedback mate - keep it coming!

I sized the ones in the first one to be pretty much the same as the 16"s. The second one they are just a tad bigger.

If you love your 172 then dont get 205/40R17 tyres! Thats the only advice I can give. I learned from experience!!

Why not Paul - this is the size that all the wheel / tyre packages come with, and I cant find 195/40/17 anywhere?

Well I presume your a bit like me. You bought your car cos its quick and you enjoy a little traffic light grand prix from time to time! Im sure your used to this by now youve had the car for a while. Well when I got 205/40R17 this ruined all my fun cos I kept getting beat CTRs and Clio Cups mainly. Now ive got 195s things are back to normal and the car sits at its normal height.

The 195s arent anymore expensive really except for the likes of Toyos and Yokos. Example Goodyear Eagle F1 from mytyres in 205 is ~£110 and the 195s are ~£90

I dont rate the Toyos after using them for a short period they wear really fast and they are a lot noisier than any other tyre ive used!
