Photoshop gurus please

Say i have a poster or something similar, and its an image file. How can i change text on it to say something else....ie the date? is there a way of duplicating a font?

no dont think there is a way you can do that.

can just guess the font and type over, but that depends on the background image

not that i'm aware of, I usually just search around for a similar font then stretch/skew etc to match.

I take it the image isnt in .psd?

Send it to me m8...I'll have a go for you if you like. There isn't an easy way unless you can use the numbers already on the poster
