Pics too dark

Im a complete novice when it come to photography, so after saying that my pictures i take in car parks, work units etc come out really dark but are alright on the viewer. What shall i do?

Its just a Kodak c340 digital camera.

Either adjust the brightness of the LCD on your camera or learn how to use a histogram, assuming your camera can display one..

I mean when im viewing to take the pictures its fine, i then take the pictures they come out really dark

Tried resetting the camera? Could you have exposure compensation turned on?

look for something that says EV or +/- ..... adjusting it to +1,2 0r 3 will make it brighter

or

just set it to night time mode.
