Sits on HR springs. Must be a Falkne rep or something, he has Falken tyres all round and a Falken sunstrip!

Happy with the wheels and the brakes look the mutz behind them. Did consider red calipers. But decided on black in the end. Power hike to 350 with view to going to 385 when I get back from holiday in August. Most of the work will be done, when I have the 350 done, so it will be just the full exhaust and the injectors, plus the custom SCC bluefin / superchips map to do.

Ride height is okay on those springs to be fair and won't alter the car too much.

Can't seem to get on with the flaps and wheels. I think i'm turning into a silver wheel wh0re! :eek:

Lol why pay top dollar for 350bhp under warranty, and then rinse it for another 35? Could have got 385 for the price of the mountune? Do it anyway though. Hero TBH.

I just don't see the point in 350brake in a fwd car! It's a nonsense! That much power/torque needs the rear wheels involved. Then you'd be allowed the power in all gears ;).

Needs 4WD IIRC ;)

My vanilla RS has more traction off the line than my old Clio, so it's not all just about 'this figure is too much for FWD'.

It's limited in the lower gears iirc? And has more weight/tyre width/a diff. And still, with the standard power needs limiting! So yes, it is too much power!

It's torque limited in 1st & 2nd to tame wheelspin. That doesn't mean the power can't be used once rolling. No one is reporting traction problems with 350hp AFAIK.

However, yes of course RWD or 4WD is better for handling that kind of power. Basically, unless you're bothered about beating chavs off the lights, it doesn't matter that it's torque limited. Are you telling us you'd turn down a 350bhp RS?

I'm telling you it's unnecessary. No I wouldn't turn it down. But I would pick a 300bhp rwd car over it, everytime.
It's as much a nonsense as the boys that sc there clips and claim it copes. The standard car (frs) is at the limit, were it not it wouldn't be limited lol!
But each to their own. I think torque steer is pretty much the least desirable trait a car can have.

Fair enough. We'll agree that it's too much power for 1st and 2nd then :D

The truth is that once rolling (where as you know, it counts) it isn't too much power. As a package, limited in the first two gears or otherwise, it doesn't struggle. Far from it TBH. It hooks up and goes, even exiting the slower corners. With regard to RWD, I agree. However, some people absolutely must have a hatchback with a large boot.

It doesn't have too much power. No one who's driven one says it does, and I've yet to read anything about the Mountune having traction issues, so that evidently doesn't have too much power either. Opinions are opinions though.

I had more problems getting the power down in low gears in my Clio 200 than I do in my FRS tbh even with the Mountune upgrade... Its still massively quick in 1st and 2nd gear even with the torque limited

Couple of RS' about where I stay running the jamsport 400. Nice white one we detailed has the subtle graphics on the wing.

s**t of a shovel it must be!
