pikey lowering

  ph1 172
Im really wanting to lower my valver.

On my old diesel clio that i had i just cut a loop off the front springs and dropped the back the normal way. It was the perfect drop on the front and the back used to rub when the car was full but i could have changed if i wasnt so lazy.

I know people think its really bad cutting the springs down but has anybody got any valid reasons not to do it? Anybody else done it?

You could easily enough get some lowering springs for about £20 if you go second hand mate. No point in cutting corners when it's only going to cost that much for a proper set imo.

yeah i suppose,

If i cut the springs down i wouldnt bother declairing it becasue it would basically be standard ;)

Bright red springs would be blatent

Also anything "Suspension up to 40mm less" costs me about £120 on my insurance and coil overs would fit in that catagory

I've got a pair of -70mm springs for a valver. £40 + P&P or £50+P&P if u want em sanding off and painting black for the oem look.

-70mm is going to cost me £150 plus on my insurance so i would probably go the coil over route if i was investing all that money
