Pioneer DEH-P88RS or Alpine CDA-9887R

Im after a new head unit and have made a shortlist of these two. Which one of them would you recommend, preferably based on acually hearing them?

Also, Im after a good ICE shop, where I could listen to these two units. Im based in Hemel Hempstead. My local one only has cheap ones on show due to vandalism, and Im not prepared to buy a £300+ HU without even hearing it.

Im after as good audiophile sound quality as possible. I know it wont touch my separates at home, but Im going to try.

remember you may have to buy the ipod connector lead separatly

i like pioneer much bett imo but out of those 2 then id say you cant fall of either way
