First make sure your head unit is ipod adaptor ready. Pioneer website should tell ya. If it is then when your scroll throu the sources (cd, Radio) it should come up as external and thats the ipod.

Ive just got an Ipod head unit.. i didnt realise that there were speed issues with head units using those special ipod converter boxes which enables you to control the ipod from your head unit, that would seriously annoy me... so i got a new "full speed" alpine unit... 9850ri ( www.alpine-europe.com/content/english/ ) - installing it later, so lets see how it gets on

Pioneer have a initial settings function which can be accessed by turning off the unit (leave face in position) And then hold down the function button for a bit, a load of settings will appear. You can turn on or off the Aux from there.

good bit of info that^^ but why would you want the aux off? It's not like it's in the way or anythig, daft options!
