pipex p2p throttling again...

does anyone know if pipex dish out fair usuage policy warnings? on my previous thread i was saying how i signed up to 12 months not knowing about them using traffic shaping for p2p inc bit torrent so i desperately need out this contract! i was wondering if they dish out these warnings i could just download a big file outside torrent over and over and over they would give me warnings and eventually get shot of me

anyone think this would work?

no, and it would take you forever to download enough data anyway at 25kb/s.

they will never get rid of you, they will just speed restrict you.

i meant downloaing outside torrent etc i can get speeds up to 800k/sec on a normal download..

i NEED to get out of this contract, im basically paying for 8meg broadband for fuk all cos all i use is torrent

your FUP policy with specify how much bandwidth u can use, once you exceed that you will be speed restricted on the pipex's erx's until your next billing period starts.

m8 im in the same situation as you, im so fuked off with pipex, claiming unlimted 8 meg, no restrictions, no throttling or blocked ports. All lies. The first day my account went live i realised they throttled and i rang them up and tried cancelling but they said that i could only cancel before the 14 days fromw which i rang up and placed the order with them, MUGS!!!!!

If you find anyway of getting out of the contact let me no m8, i was reading a post about someone using this company http://www.ispa.org.uk/about_us/ to help them get out of their contact but i havent got round to reading up on this just yet.

i saw that also on the adsl forum somewhere but i never looked into it either, i think the encryption is finally working using utorrent, ive been downloading at a few hundred k/sec all night, heres hoping it stays like this

you read up on the encryption?

i signed up to giganews that uses ssl encription, but that doesnt work, plus the utorrent encription doesnt work for me either, pipex must have it in for me.

I was with Pipex for about 2 years. I downloaded like mad, and never had problem with speeds. Now I am with Pipex Homecall for my telephone & BB, with upto 8meg BB. No problems so far!

My totals for the pass few weeks:

15/10/06 - 21/10/06 DL 11.59 GB | UL 4.11 GB
29/10/06 - 04/11/06 DL 9.75 GB | UL 3.24 GB
05/11/06 - 11/11/06 DL 4.29 GB | UL 1.13 GB
12/11/06 - 18/11/06 DL 6.19 GB | UL 1.24 GB

im with homecall, i understand them capping high usage users, but im a new customer they dont know nothing about my usages.
