Pipex what a fuckin Joke

Right rung them up a bit back as I was thinking of changing to bethere for £14 a month told pipex this and basically rang up for my MAC code. The bloke on the phone offered me the same deal etc so 8mb unlimited for £14 a month. So I took him up on it and agreed to stay with Pipex as i've never had a problem with them in the past.

Month passes and I get a bill through and taken from the account is:

£72.50
£74.99
£14.00

So rings them up and I was fuckin fuming. Gave him all the details etc and password ot the account. Asked him what the charges were and he said the £74.99 was a cancelation fee as i'd previously rung up for a MAC code. If this was the case how come the MAC was never emailed to me or I never received a MAC code and also why the f**k charge another £14 for the month if i'd cancelled and been charged a cancellation fee.

The bloke was a tit and I must have asked 10 times to speak to the manager which he wouldnt put me through to neither would he give me his second name as he said it was a breach of security or something shite!!

So now i'm £150 quid down with no MAC code which I didnt even request in the first place :S What a joke!!

What shall I do?

Write a letter of complaint stating the facts.. That you never received a mac code and didn't cancel etc. Also, you should have been advised of the charge prior to cancelling.

I've been with Pipex for years though mate about 4 years now never had a problem with them until now

Do what I did with Pipex, get their name, tell them you're an IT manager with lots of their leased lines, rebate or they lose your business and you'll make a complaint about them. I did this and they gave me back the disconnection fee.

I rang them up ages ago and said im leaving to virgin 8mb unlimited for 14.99 a month so they did it me for that

Or maybe they didn't.. lol

01707 299507 and politely say you want the manager/supervisor and will keep calling back until they put you through. Failing that ask them for the company directors details.
