Pirelli P Zero Tyres

Just been running in pirelli p zero tyres

Ive had the balancing checked along with the alloys but i still find the tyres to be fairly unstable over 80 mph.

they are excellent on the roundabouts at normal speeds but over 80 they dont feel as good as my previous bf goodrich or goodyears.

does anyone else notice this problem with these tyres.

i bought them to see if they were any better.

I wont be buying them again.

BF goodrich are my preferred choice.

What are other drivers experience on p zeros?

didunt like the look of them(not much rubber on the road?) got michelin pilots, exalto like a lot.

hi !

Yeah i agree,

i couldnt get my preferred choice so i chose these to "test" so to speak.

they are excellent on dry road and on wet but above 80 mph they are unstable and the car "slides" on they wet compared to goodrich.

I love them... theyre miles better than the Contis. lush gripping going around corners and they dont tramline as badly as the contis either. Im pleased with them. Although the test drive in the 182 showed the Exaltos are just as good.

I have PZero Rossos on the front of my v6 and I find them much, much better than the Pilot Sports that are standard fit. Grip is better (and therefore so is braking), they do wear quicker than the Michellins though.

I got some P zero neros on mine and havent got a bad word to say about them. Far superior to contis and i also have more confidence in them than Yoko A359s. I suppose its each to their own depending on how you drive.

hi knoxville - very true words your type - i do agree with you.

i had goodrich on before and it may be me but i find the stability on the p zeros a little "loose" over 80

below 80 though - the best tyres ive driven with.

better stability on the bends - the tyres dont give as much as others ive tried and the grip in the wet is second to none.

The Neros were ok, but i think P Zero As are amazing, ill prob never use another tyre, well for some time anyway.

Just out of interest what pressure is everyone running?

32psi front and 30 rear for me.

Jess- Find a big open space where theres nothing to crash into and just keep pushing them till they break away, at least then youll know roughly what you can get away with.

Have fun!;)

Hi Knoxville,

thanks for the advice.

ive tried this on a prictae strip at my friends and the tyres loose grip at 80mph - im running 32 at the front and 30 at the back but im going to lower the pressure slightly to see if it makes any difference tomorrow.
