Plain/boring looking headunit

Any recommendations? After something with Bluetooth streaming, external mic for calls, and doesn't look like a max power wet dream.

No to both of those. Good head units, but I'm after something very plain. Ideally matte black, so looks as oe as possible.

Cheers James, yes i have a Becker grand prix in my ph1.

It looks very factory but unfortunately they don't make them anymore.

Becker! That's the one! Was racking my brains to try and remember it.

I'd love a becker. But limited options with Bluetooth, and paying £400 plus for a used headunit with no comeback if it breaks after 6 months seems a bit silly.

I've found a picture of mine in my car.
I'm also not into blue lights and s**t dancing about the screen.

I think you're going to be limited mate.
Yeah that's one thing I'd of liked tbh but im old so CDs are fine, plus I hardly ever use my car.

Good luck though, keep us updated if you do find something, i might be interested as well.

Speak to @MT AUDIO, I'm sure he has a connects2 (iirc) which plugs into the back of the oem hu and supports calls and music streaming.
It's for an e46 m3. From memory all of the plug in bluetooth modules sound pish because the sound isn't generated by the headunit, so you can't alter bass/treble etc. Could be wrong though.

Nakamichi is another one to look at.
400% bland

EDIT: but REALLY high quality. In that they make Alpine look like Fli

Yep, it'll be a sod.
Because most people want some fruit-machine-esque multi-coloured, flashing monstrosity instead

:(

Can't you get one of those Eonon jobbies for an E46?
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KD882LS/?tag=cliospnet01-21

I had a headunit put in my E46 and had to order the adapter facia and it just looked odd, didn't fit the shape of the BMW dash so I put the standard Business Unit back in.
They've got a terrible reputation. Really inconsistent quality, zero after sales support. All of those style ones do.

How about a Parott kit?
Mount the display as discretely as possible.
iMK9200?
USB in. Apple 30-pin, bluetooth, jack-plug and SD card compatible

2 hours and a bit of swearing later

I'm still rocking the OE cassette player in the Vee 😂 (changers under the seat, but I rarely have music on)

When it's turned off it looks similar to the oe nav minus all the buttons. Displays the nav when turned on now I've set everything up.
