Plasma + Xbox360

Just wondering, will it be ok to play the Xbox on a plasma?
Its a newish tv, and i'm not sure how they cope with image retention/screen burn these days?
Its Panasonics newer 46" G10 panels.

Thanks

Ye, my panny has been used for the PS3 for over a year.. no probs at all and no screen retention/burn. I Also use it as a computer monitor (lots of static stuff) and had no probs at all.

I've got the same tv and always use it for monitor and xbox, it's ace.

Do get a little bit of screen burn when I've left it on the pc for ages but it's sounds apart from that.

Unless it's left on the same image for 12hours+ you've nothing to worry about.

I've had 10 hours solid sessions on the Xbox on my Samsung 50" Plasma, and never had an issue.

It's not a big issue anymore plasmas.

Mine has been fine for just over two years (it's had a lot of use this way ince I bought call of duty world at war 2), I wouldn't worry.

You will get retention but it'll only be visible in a very dark room, and it'll be washed out within minutes by other images, so it's doubtful you'll even see it.

I play games on my Panasonic, with no lasting problems. Even black bars on movies will be retained, so there's no point worrying about a video game.

I have had retention on my panasonic plasma after longer gaming sessions. It's always gone after a few mins of normal tv viewing.

out of interest, how have people set up their tvs? I've got mine on the factory settings pretty much, just wondering if anyone had played with their panna?

Yea i noticed a little bit of retention just after turning the xbox off, however it did go pretty much streaight away.

Factory settings are far too bright, my px80 runs on cinema settings with slight tweaks, looks great, doesn't strain my eyes over long periods.

I run my 800B on 'cinema'.

High contrast settings always look s**t, which is what cracks me up when people boast that their TV has a trillion:1 contrast ratio. Also, contrast is the quickest way to get image retention.

use a dvd like finding nemo etc that has thx optimiser software on it to set up your telly.. as mentioned stock settings are miles too bright washing out any detail to catch your eye in store. Anyone using default settings needs shot!
