I was cleaning and just topping up fluids on my 1.4 clio sport 8v, when i decided to take the air filter housing off and give him a quick spray with wynns carb cleaner...the car was running and stalled..after the restart the problem of very fast idle 1700 - 2000 rpm has happened...I tried to reset the ecu by taking off the battery for ten minutes but still the car is the same..I took it for a long run, 150 miles hoping it would sort itself out but it is still the same... I find it hard to think just hefty spray of carb cleaner would do this kind of harm.
If anyone has got any ideas or maybe the ten minutes I gave the ECU wasn't enough for a reset please could you post your thoughts....
