Please Help Instrument panel & Back lights problem.

Hi all I've got a problem with the 172 2003 mark2. I was driving home last night and the lights on the instrument panel went out apart from the mileometer. Also the back lights are out. I didn't have a clue the back lights were out until The police stopped me. The brake lights still work though.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check your fuses.

Also check the condition of the rear earthing point its on the passenger side of the car at the back. Below the rear seatbelt poin tis behind all the trim. Check the points nice and clean etc.

I can't find any fuses in the book for the rear lights. I'll check the earthing point later.

I think I've sussed it. As I've just checked all the back lights which now work I might add. When the mrs moved the seat back everything they went off, so I reckon it's a loose connection in the wiring under the passenger seat.
