Please Help Me With My Steering Rack!!

Can anyone please tell me where to find the part number on my steering rack? Where abouts will it be? How do I get to it? I've been trying to get some steering arms and even Renault can't tell me what type of rack I have? As there maybe up to sux different ones? It's neither the two most common ones, as they gave me both sets of arms for them and they were both too short. Hopefully someone can help? Thank you.

The number should be located on the steering rack by a white sticker about a inch and a half long by a inch , it's in the centre of the steering rack so you will need to remove the under try and stand under the sump of the engine and look towards the back of the car ! It should be in the center of the rack obvious to see then
hope this helps ! I believe the common one is the SMI steering rack ! It will say in one of the corners of the sticker 3 letters TRW or SMI or something like that!

Perfect thank you! Ill give that a go ASAP. SMI was the common one they said aswel as some other so bought both parts and got a friend of a friend to fit whichever was correct and turned out to be neither. Thanks again.

No problem hope it helps , I know my 182 is a SMI there are 4 types of rack according to renault TRW being the awkward I believe ! Good luck mate
