Pls help

I am waiting for the dilivery of my clio, i have got the speakers i want to put in them - 6.5"- and i need a photo of the inside of a new clios door so i can work out if my idea would work.

Thanks

Someone was daft enough to take a photo of their 92 RT for me, so im daft enough to take a photo of my mums Dynamique for you ;)

Everyone was puzzled when i asked for a picture of a 92 Clio Doorcard lol.

I managed to get what i wanted tho... One with a speaker and no window winder and one without a speaker and with a window winder :)

I used adobe photoshop to work out if i would knock my hands if i was to mount 17cm speakers in my door :) lol.

took a while to do but i had no option cos i didnt have the car when i was about to buy my speakers

im tring to work out how i can put 6.5" mids in the door, dont suppose you have any idea or know anyone who has allready done it??

Also, unless you have a modified card no one will take a photo of there door card to show it off, thats the prob!

Tis me mams car.

Shes got 17cm Alpine components in... What we did was Cut out all the un necisary plastic behind the square (with rounded bottom bit) grille cover and use 2 mdf Trim rings each side to bring the speaker closer to the original place. pretty much same thing as mailto:m@thews">m@thews done, Except our we cant get the grilled off cos we had to glue them back on as i made the mistake of cutting the bits the clips went into :(

Easy to avoid though.

soryy dont know what your ment by "2 mdf Trim rings each side to bring the speaker closer to the original place", you used 2 spacer rings? was that becasue you didnt have a thick enought peice of mdf, surly that would be in exactly the same place just protuding out more??

Sorry if this is a dumb question!!!!

Thanks mate

Basically all the plastic sh*te thats in their originally has been cut out

and the trims (yes two because i didnt have thick enough MDF) were screwed into the actual metal of the door

then the speakers screwed to that then the grille replaced.

Had to make em stick out more for the simple reason of the windows knocking the magnets
