Polish my helmet....

Just got a second hand helmet and want t give it a clean, though I am unsure what products are safe to use a motorcycle helmet? Would I be ok using LimePrime and EGP? or LimePrime followed by a wax?

Also, what about the visor? This is probably the main thing as its a bit streaky at the moment. Been told just warm soapy water, is there anything I can use to protect it after?

As for your visor. Rain X, or if your willing to spend the dough, Rain racer. Get some glass cleaner on it and make sure its very clean first.

Do what you like to your helmet, i wouldnt use abrasive polishes on it. Lime prime Lite and a wax should be fine. Unless youd rarther seal it.

I read you shouldnt use glass cleaner on a motorbike forum, because its not glass and apparently could damage the visor?

It will be perspex lad. No harm in the old LimePrime going on, but I wouldn't use a sealent on the visor part.

Cheers mate, I thought limeprime would be alright. Will probably put a coat of wax over the restof the helmet, just to help the bling.

clean mine with apc, ag fast glass then seal it with a wax, visor gets rain x too.
