Polish, Wax and then...?

  Clio Authentique 1.2
Hello all, new to the forum. Just a quick question, my paintwork was really dull on my 2002 mk2 Clio (in some areas, not all), the roof had some oxidisation, so to combat this I T-Cut (metallic) the roof and applied Megs Polish to the rest of the car, after which I gave it a thorough wax using Turtle Wax Extreme Nano-Tech. After such a hefty process should I be sealing the car with anything other product?

Many thanks in advance.

PS. the car now has a beautiful glassy feel to the paintwork and is shiny even after typical England rainfall (it also beads very well)

I just did my car after nearly two years of not even being washed. I washed it, went over it with 3 coats of Autoglym super resin polish and then did 2 coats of Autoglym Extra Gloss protection. (I was recomended that on here...)

And I must say, it looks like new!! And this is a K reg car!

Fair play man, difference what a bit of elbow grease (all done by hand!) can do. Took me 3 hours alone to t-cut the roof due to the amount of oxidisation on it.

Extra gloss protection seems to be the number one choice for sealing/protecting.

Its only about £6 on ebay too!

Went over mine earlier with Auto Glym paint renovator and then Super Resin Polish, did a great job of it :) Car now looks very very shiny and the faded areas of paint have now been fixed :)

Will give it another wash over tomorrow and use some Turtle Wax Colour Restore on there to start blending in deeply faded areas from where the car has stickers on it, then another 2 coats of Super Resin Polish and it should be all good :)

Id say leave the car as it is now, wont make much noticeable difference

Thanks Daniel and Kerry, yeh it looks perfectly fine at the moment, (it's silver in colour), maybe next time I give it a wash, I'll apply Autoglym EGP and then give it a wax over.
