Popped sidewall

Any ideas what could cause a PE2 to pop a side wall? The tyre isn't over inflated or anything like that.

It just seems odd, I ran some PE2's on my old Cup for 14k with no issues and i've had 2 popped side walls on my 172 in 4 months.
