2003 Clio 172
I have a 2003 172 that for a while has had a random running issue.
I’ve read most of the related topics on this forum and decided to check out the operation of the MAF butterfly.
Switched ignition on, depressed the pedal slowly and continued all the way until the throttle pedal reached its maximum stop.
Observing the butterfly valve I noticed no real movement occurs into the pedal is near its max travel at which point the butterfly suddenly opens fully.
Pardon my ignorance but I assumed that the butterfly would move as the throttle pedal is depressed, does anybody know if this is the case? Rather than suddenly open fully when max travel was achieved.
Ant knowledge on the MAF operation would be greatly appreciated.
