Possible Rolling Road Day.......

  Audi Q7, Avalanche
right, (mods is it possible to make this a 'sticky' until its sorted?)

after talking with a few people on here it seems that there is quite alot of interest in a rolling road day for the cliosport members. after speaking with a friend of mine he gets his brand new (and flipping expensive!!) rolling road installed and set up this monday, although it wont be fully operational until his new unit is finally finished and redecorated. Hes a legend in the BMW world and i will be taking my E39 down to see him tomorow to have some more work on my ECU, so i will discuss it with him further in person. hes a professional mapper/chip specialist and has been working on porsches, bmw's, fords etc for nearly 20years. hes done all my cars and is a true gent and i cant speak highly enough of him, basically i need to know a rough idea as to who would be interested as obviously the numbers will affect cost and time etc... the idea would be to have it on a sunday when they are usually closed so they dont lose out on daily business and therefore give us better rates as a result. i leave for the USA on tuesday for 3months so i wont be here if its done in that time but i can liase with people and help get the ball rolling via telephone and email etc.... its based in bromsgrove, birmingham, so is pretty central to most parts of the country which is good and not far from motorway links from both the north and south. if you are interested in it (not going to hold you to randsome and make you pay etc... as price will need to be determined!) but i need to know the rough amount of people who would want it. personally i would be getting my clio remapped so i could do a 'before' and 'after' run to show the difference etc... but if you just want a run then thats cool too,

please put your names below: (copy and paste the list and repost it with your name added to it please)

if you can organise it would be good, did put a post asking if anyone would be interested in one at aldon automotive (not got a very good reputation though apparently) this sounds better anyway :)

We can also offer you a rolling road day at Hill Power. I now have the rollers up and running with a Land and Sea data logging system and will shortly be running OBD II port connection for data. We have recently hosted days for the Williams Clio Club and the Reenault Sports Club and would be happy to accomadate the Cliosports Club.

right, ive just this second got back from the rolling road place and speaking to my mate regarding my BMW E39 and the possibility of the cliosport.net rolling road day. hes more than happy to organise something and has had experience doing a few V6's, i will be giving him my clio when i return from the states to play with as i trust him 150%!! i asked him about prices but he said he will have to sort that when everything is sorted when he has a better idea as to the running costs and possible complications, extra staff, equipment etc.. but its not going to be very expensive. i asked about remappign and he said he can do anything, he doesnt use 'generic' maps for newer cars as they dont tend to react well to a 'one size fits all' approach. if you wanted your car remapped, he would do it live in the car when either on the rolling road or driving around via his laptop and customise your map to your specific car, which should make for some interesting results! ideally i would get my car dyno'd before any mods and then after a remap to show what kind of increase can be achieved from this custom map. the price for a full custom live map will vary depending on how many people wanted it, but it will be a lot less than getting an ECU, piggy back, stand alone management etc.. i leave on tues for the USA but i will have access to the forum and pm's etc... so we can organise it from there, i need to know who would be interested as at the moment ive had lots of questions but no one is willing to voice their interest in having it done,
