Powder Coating

Can anyone recomend somebody in the Central belt ( preferably near Falkirk )that can refurb and powder coat wheels. My car came with white speedlines ( on a white car ! )and are murder to clean and keep clean.Thanks in advance .

Autoecosse did mine a while back, 4 15" to be powdercoated and tyres removed and refitted was £270, about 3 years ago. I've heard good things about Kingdom coatings as well.

depends what wheel size your talking about mate, i'm sure they were about £35/40 a wheel up to 17" and about £45/50 for 18" but that was a while ago, they used to ask you to take the tyres off before giving the wheels but not sure if they will do it for you these days, best getting in touch with them mate if your interested

e.g. The cost for 1 wheel up to 17" is £55.00 + vat @ 20% = £66 each

The cost for 4 x up to 17" wheels is £175.+ vat £35 = £210
Finish - colour of your choice. with or without sparkle.
If you pop them in early one day i.e. 8-9a.m. they should be ready the next
day.
Perhaps 2 days if handed in later in day

If your are bringing them in on the car incl jack up etc the cost would be
(per set of 4)
£200 + vat £40 = £240
Same day service. You would need to book in and have the car here for
8.00am to pick up around 4.00pm

Balancing is extra for set of 4 £18 + vat £3.60 = £21.60"

Thats quite expensive Daz.

The place I go done a set of 18's coated, balanced the lot all in for less than rm coatings want before they add the vat!

I fancy getting my wheels done but that price above seems a bit steep, apparently there is a place in linlithgow that does them cheap? by cheap im meaning about £150 a set

Is who I used on the cup a few years ago was like 60 per wheel with a flake through them and balanced. That included sanding them down as mine were flaking and weren't smooth. Did a great job!

willie did all my wheels for a while ,but stopped doing them because he was busy with chassis for applied sweepers
he was great at doing wheels ,hope he has started again .i will phone wed to find out
