Powerboost Foam

  Clio 190bhp Hybrid

Any1 used it? Not long after buying my car 3 years ago used the 10k boost stuff and it did make a difference. Didnt seem to want to go into the throttle body that easy though.

Ecotek do similar stuff called powerboost. Before any1 dismisses it (its be ecotek remember) has any1 tried it?

Dont think it can hurt and I could probably do with it as car has run at least 20k since trying teh 10k boost last time.

Review of it (probably manufacturers) states:

The first example is a relatively new Clio 1.8i 16V - only 74,000 miles and in good order too. There was only a couple of BHP increase but the torque curve changed completely giving a whole 10 ft lbs between 40 and 50 mph - just where you need it.

The owner reported a very noticeable improvement in pick up and driveability: the extra low end torque is very noticeable and has made my Clio much, much better to drive..

Probably gonna get some anyway as I have always tried to keep my valver as good as I can and find a lot of the petrol additives and stuff like this work if applied correctly and not over used.

It makes sense that things worsen over time so anything that can lessen this impact is good IMO.

40-50mph in 4th Id expect (the gear they used for a rr power run)

Its probably very similar to 10K boost, and will probably work just as well.

I used 10K boost on my valver at 48K when I first bought it and it made a nice noticeable difference.

If your engine is in good nick, itll probably be fine, but personally I wouldnt use it on higher mileage cars. Im sceptical about using it again on mine (now 58K) in the future.....
