Pre-cat & post cat lambda's

Just a quick one to ask is there any difference between the two lambdas or could I use for instance a lambda that was originally a post-cat lambda and use it as a pre-cat lambda?

Same sensor, but cables are of different length (post cat cable is longer iirc).
