Looking through my service handbook, I cant find a stamp for the pre delivary service. Also I dont seem to be able to find a place for one to go. Were should it be ???

This really important as the car is a uk originated car and I cant see anyway of proving this without the stamp????

I bet in reality there is no such thing as a pre-delivery service, especially if it is carried out as thoroughly as a pre-delivery inspection!!

Hmm, Its just I remember when I collect my first clio from new it had a stamp in it of the supplying dealer and the customers expected mileage and the due date of the safety check. Now I know the safety checks been scrapped, but surely there should be some stamp of the supplying dealer. I know who they are fortunatley!!!

Hey cmon GR you know what a pre delivery service is - trainee mechanic get in with engine cold, revs nuts off it, wheelspins it out of back exit, tests rev limiter in first 3 gears to end of the road, yanks handbrake on to stop.

He must then repeat this "process" several time before running out of petrol and then get back to garage using starter motor

Yep i worked in the motor trade for 13 years so saw these things happen, hang on 13 years - showing my age now

Thats why the PDI now consits of a wash and if your lucky a wax!! All problems (to save money found by the new owner) have to be booked in two weeks after receiving the car and done under warranty.

Trying to find the letter I got after I ordered the car saying how renault had improved its service so every car was built to order and on time. im going to right to the bloke and tell what I think of renault service. Waiting to find some french cheese and garlic in the boot. Honda gave my mum some wine when she bought a new car, all I get is a large mobile bill for trying to sort the problems out the new car came with. Dont want a CTR but want Honda service.

I actually got a bouquet of flowers delivered through Interflora, not plonked on the seat, when I bought my 172 and when I bought my S16 PUG I got both flowers and chocolates!!

I got some flowers handed to me by the dealer, I gave them to me girlfriends gran as it was her birthday that day. Saved me some money! And I agree I have had loads of niggles in the 2mths ive had my car. Just went in again as the clutch pedal needed replacing!!!

You got flowers I had to ask for the sodding key fobs for the Keys, I know I got £800 of list price but still paid over £11,000. Piss take

All I got was a hand shake and "if you have any problems, take it to a Renault dealership" charming!

They were helpful tho when I rang with a problem.....They talked to Renault for me :D

i dont understand renault. If anone female is there when u pick up a car they get a flowers and chocolates. However us blokes dont get anything for free i would have loved some chocolates when i picked my my car:)

Vauxhall seem to be better my mate picked up a sxi and got choclates flowers and a bottle of wine. I dont think the last one was a good idea though
